ISU Sibiu conducted a large-scale exercise on the A1 highway simulating a serious accident involving multiple victims and hazardous material spills. Over 50 firefighters, medical personnel, police, Red Cross volunteers, and DRDP Brașov representatives participated. The scenario included a serious crash with a tanker carrying sulfuric acid, a minibus with eight people, and a car with four occupants. The situation worsened with sulfuric acid leaks creating a toxic cloud, posing contamination risks. The exercise aimed to assess emergency response capabilities and inter-agency collaboration in hazardous material incidents. Such simulations help identify potential issues and improve operational procedures.
