Dan Air, the second Romanian airline to file for insolvency recently, continues to operate international flights from Bucharest and Bacau airports. The company submitted its insolvency request on October 22, 2026, to the Ilfov Tribunal. The request is based on urgent processing provisions of the insolvency law, with no court date set yet. Financial reports indicate that Dan Air's total debts rose to 126.3 million lei by the end of 2025, despite achieving a net profit of 11.6 million lei that year. Founded in 2017, Dan Air has expanded its operations and now offers regular flights to various European destinations. It follows AnimaWings, which also sought insolvency recently, with ongoing legal proceedings.
