The Bucharest City Hall revealed that a crack in a building in Drumul Taberei was identified in 2017, attributed to drainage issues. Residents were offered consolidation in 2021 but declined due to the need to vacate their homes. The municipality stated that the drainage problems must be addressed by the residents as they are on private property. Currently, there are 2,800 buildings assessed for seismic risk in the city, with 185 undergoing consolidation. Following a recent report of a crack, emergency measures are being evaluated.
