The new Minister of Environment, Natalia Intotero, discussed with meteorologists about the staffing shortages at high-altitude weather stations. Currently, only three out of five required personnel are employed at these stations, leading to challenging working conditions. Some employees must trek for two days to reach their stations, facing dangers such as wild animals and harsh weather. Intotero highlighted the poor living conditions, including decaying furniture and leaks in some locations. She plans to gather visual evidence of these issues to present to the administration board for better decision-making. Key weather stations include those on Vârful Omu, Bâlea Lac, Ceahlău-Toaca, and Sinaia Cota 1.500.
