An IT expert from Sibiu argues that teenagers read more than adults think and do not solely rely on AI for knowledge. Free courses at the ASTRA Library revealed a genuine interest in reading among high school students. Ciprian Cândea, who conducted these courses, emphasized that students are well-informed and attentive, as evidenced by their participation in a long-standing regional informatics competition. He warned about the risks of uncritical AI use, which can lead to misinformation and misunderstandings in communication. Cândea shared personal experiences of receiving incorrect AI-generated communications and highlighted a case where AI misuse caused a commercial conflict. He also discussed a false alert involving a bear sighting, which stemmed from an AI-generated image.
