IKEA plans to open a new store in Cluj-Napoca, covering over 17,000 square meters, as part of a €130 million expansion strategy. The store will feature a Swedish restaurant and various services, including online ordering and home delivery. This initiative is part of the RIVUS urban redevelopment project, which aims to transform the former Carbochim industrial site into a multifunctional urban space. The opening is expected between September 2028 and August 2029, enhancing IKEA's presence in Romania, where it currently operates three stores and several planning studios.
