Regular tea consumption may lower the risk of stroke and cardiovascular diseases, according to a study involving nearly 500,000 individuals in China. Drinking tea at least three times a week is linked to an 11% reduced risk of vascular diseases. However, consuming tea at very high temperatures increases the risk by 16%. The study highlights the health benefits of tea, particularly black and green varieties, due to their bioactive compounds. The strongest association was found with ischemic stroke, showing a 36.6% risk reduction. While tea consumption is beneficial, it should complement a healthy lifestyle rather than serve as a standalone preventive measure.
