On October 21, the community of Sibiel honored Saint Priest Confessor Moise Macinic, who was imprisoned in the 18th century for opposing forced conversion to the United Church. The service was led by a group of priests, including local and visiting clergy. This celebration connects the community to its history and the sacrifices of ancestors who maintained their Orthodox faith. Moise Macinic is remembered alongside other Transylvanian saints who defended Orthodoxy against imposed unionism.
