Near Sciacca, Sicily, lies Castello Incantato, a unique garden filled with thousands of sculpted faces created by artist Filippo Bentivegna. After emigrating to the USA, Bentivegna returned to his hometown in 1913 and dedicated decades to carving faces into stones and trees, resulting in approximately 3,000 sculptures. His work, considered outsider art, reflects personal expression and creativity outside conventional artistic norms. Bentivegna referred to his sculptures as 'his people' and created a surreal environment that has attracted art enthusiasts and visitors. His legacy continues to draw interest in this extraordinary artistic space.
