Europol, in collaboration with judicial authorities from 34 countries, conducted a significant operation against labor exploitation, resulting in 27 arrests and identifying 248 potential victims. Most victims are men exploited in construction and agriculture, with 5% being minors. The operation, held from September 14-20, 2026, revealed severe working conditions, including long hours without pay. Investigations also uncovered cases of sexual exploitation and forced begging. Key findings included numerous arrests across various countries and the identification of victims primarily from Vietnam, China, India, and the Philippines. The operation highlighted the widespread nature of human trafficking in Europe.
