The last day for veneration of the relics of Saint George the Pilgrim in Alba Iulia is Thursday. The relics will be transported to Șugag after their stay at the Cathedral until 10:00 AM. They were brought from Văratec Monastery for the celebration of the Saints of Transylvania. The relics will remain in Șugag for a few hours before returning to Văratec. Saint George was born in Șugag in 1846 and canonized in 2017, with a fragment of his relics permanently in Șugag since 2019.
