International Caps Lock Day is celebrated on October 22, highlighting the impact of writing in all caps online. It originated in 2000 as a humorous commentary on excessive capitalization in digital communication. The day encourages playful use of the Caps Lock key, which alters the tone of messages without changing their content. Writing in all caps is often perceived as shouting, conveying emotions like anger or excitement. The event serves as a lighthearted reminder of internet culture, with users sharing jokes and posts using the hashtag #CapsLockDay.
