In September 2026, the non-government credit balance rose by 0.7% compared to August, reaching 480.263 billion lei. The lei credit increased by 0.8%, while foreign currency credit grew by 0.7%. Year-on-year, non-government credit saw an 8.2% increase. Government credit also rose by 2.9% from August, totaling 298.254 billion lei, with a 15.7% increase compared to September 2025. The broad money supply (M3) reached 816.213 billion lei, marking a 0.4% increase from August and an 8.4% rise year-on-year.
