The construction orders for the Regional Oncology Institute in Timișoara and the new wing of the Giurgiu County Emergency Hospital have been signed. The Timișoara project is estimated at 1.7 billion lei and will feature 250 beds. The Giurgiu hospital will include oncology and neurology departments, with an investment of approximately 258.5 million lei for 122 beds. Both projects are funded by the European Health Program 2021-2027. Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete assured that none of the nine hospital projects transferred from PNRR will be abandoned, emphasizing the importance of securing necessary funding for their continuation.
