Over 400 individuals in Belarus have been sentenced for supporting Ukraine since the Russian invasion began in February 2022. Many face charges related to extremism, treason, and terrorism. The organization Viasna reports that at least 419 people have been convicted, with 142 currently detained. Most sentences were for supporting extremist activities, including sharing military movement information. Donations to Ukraine have also led to convictions, as authorities claim they funded terrorism. Some Belarusians have fought alongside Ukraine since 2014, with many joining the Kalinowski Regiment. Belarusian justice continues to prosecute activists abroad.
