Austria has expelled four Russian diplomats for activities deemed incompatible with their diplomatic status, likely related to espionage. This brings the total number of expelled Russian diplomats since 2020 to 18. The decision reflects Austria's support for Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict, despite its neutral stance. Vienna, a major diplomatic hub, has a history of espionage due to the presence of numerous diplomatic missions.
