In September 2026, deposits from non-government resident clients rose by 8.8% year-on-year to 690.779 billion lei, with a 0.4% increase from August 2026. Real growth for deposits was 2.1% compared to September 2025. Lei deposits, making up 67.1% of total deposits, fell by 0.7% from August but increased by 7% year-on-year. Household lei deposits decreased by 0.2% from the previous month, while corporate deposits dropped by 1.4%. Conversely, foreign currency deposits grew by 2.5% from August, totaling 227.387 billion lei, with a 12.9% annual increase in lei. Household foreign currency deposits rose by 2.5% month-on-month, while corporate deposits increased by 2.6%.
