In Sibiu, respiratory infections have decreased, while pneumonia cases have slightly increased. Clinical flu cases remain stable with no hospitalizations reported. During the week of October 11-18, 2026, there were 1,513 cases of acute respiratory infections, down from 1,609 the previous week. Most cases were among children and active adults, with only six hospitalizations needed for young children. Four clinical flu cases were reported, consistent with the previous week, and no hospitalizations were necessary. Pneumonia cases rose to 404, with a slight increase from the prior week, and hospitalizations were mainly recommended for the elderly. Overall, the health conditions were mild to moderate, with hospitalizations advised only for high-risk groups.
