A young woman from Bucharest has been placed under judicial control for allegedly accessing a Brașov woman's account and facilitating fraudulent loans in her name. The 28-year-old is being investigated for complicity in fraud, complicity in computer forgery, and unauthorized access to a computer system. On March 26, 2025, she reportedly assisted a 38-year-old man from Ilfov County in deceiving a 49-year-old woman from Brașov and several non-banking financial institutions. They illegally obtained loans using the victim's personal data for financial transactions. Police found that she accessed the victim's bank account without permission, withdrawing cash and enabling her partner to fraudulently secure funds. A search in Bucharest uncovered relevant evidence, leading to her initial 24-hour detention and subsequent 60-day judicial control.
