In Romania, employees and students will enjoy a mini-holiday at the end of November for St. Andrew's Day and National Day. In 2026, these holidays fall on Monday, November 30, and Tuesday, December 1, allowing for four consecutive days off from Saturday, November 28, to Tuesday, December 1. While most employees will benefit from this break, those in essential services may need to work on these holidays but are entitled to compensatory time off or increased pay. Additionally, students will have a winter vacation starting December 23, 2026, until January 10, 2027, following the mini-holiday.
