Recent data indicates a slight decrease in respiratory infections in Brașov County, while pneumonia cases are on the rise. Between October 12-18, 2026, there were 1,629 reported respiratory infections, down from 1,710 the previous week. Acute upper respiratory infections accounted for 1,299 cases, a decrease from 1,410. Clinically diagnosed flu cases remained stable at 9, compared to 10 previously. However, pneumonia cases increased to 321 from 290 in the prior week. No laboratory-confirmed flu cases have been reported in the county so far.
