She highlighted that recent tax increases have only generated 5 million lei, while many taxpayers struggle to pay. The E-proprietate application is a milestone in the PNRR, set for completion by January 1, 2027, but even if ready, it won't assist in calculating taxes for that year. Local councils must approve tax rates by the end of 2026. Vasilescu criticized the government's handling of fiscal reforms, emphasizing the negative impact on low-income pensioners and local budgets, which have lost significant funds to the state budget. She suggested that tax exemptions for first homes could be reconsidered, provided local administrations are compensated for revenue losses.
