A mother from Buzău has been accused of murdering her newborn five years ago, a crime uncovered due to bureaucratic procedures. The baby, born healthy, died within a week, and the mother confessed to the act. She wrapped the body and had her husband bury it by the Buzău River. The case came to light when a social worker noticed the baby was not registered. The mother, who is pregnant again, has been arrested for homicide, facing up to 25 years in prison. Her husband, who helped her, has not yet been charged.
