Romania has received an initial batch of 300,000 doses of vaccine against small ruminant plague, with an additional 800,000 doses for sheep and goat pox expected by October 25. The European Commission activated vaccine reserves following Romania's vaccination plans. The vaccination campaign will begin after all vaccines are received, without requiring requests from animal owners. Priority will be given to areas with active outbreaks, particularly in Constanta and Tulcea. The vaccination process will be free for animal owners, funded by the Romanian government, aiming to lift export restrictions on live animals.
