The construction of the Chiribiș – Biharia section of the Transylvania Highway is 85% complete, with the wearing course starting on October 19. CNIR's director, Gabriel Budescu, indicated that completion could occur by the end of this year, despite the contractual deadline being May 2027. Project manager Bogdan Hudrugiu confirmed the progress on asphalt layers and additional works like protective barriers and drainage. The project is being executed by Precon Transilvania in partnership with Citadina 98, with hopes for an early opening depending on weather conditions and construction pace.
