A local councilor from Slatina allegedly fired a hunting rifle when police executed a search warrant related to extortion and usury. The police were conducting searches at two residences linked to a 60-year-old man and a 58-year-old man involved in lending money with interest. During the police entry, the 60-year-old fired a shot but complied with police requests to surrender his legally held firearm. No injuries were reported, and both individuals were taken for questioning as investigations continue under the supervision of a prosecutor.
