A ski resort in Austria was sold for a symbolic price of 2 euros after the local council decided to divest due to significant losses. The municipality of St. Barbara im Mürztal approved the sale to private investors Margaret Krajšek and Mihael Štoper, pending regional authority approval. The municipality had been covering maintenance and loan payments, risking bankruptcy for the resort. The new owners are required to keep the resort operational for at least three years, with plans to invest 1.3 to 1.5 million euros in improvements and additional tourist activities. The resort features 18 slopes totaling over 12 kilometers.
