The German Klett Group has acquired a significant minority stake in Equilibrum Educațional, a private educational institution in Bucharest, aiming to develop a network of small schools starting in the 2027-2028 school year. The transaction was completed on September 9, 2026, through Klett Kita & Schule GmbH, involving both the purchase of existing shares and a capital increase. Founders Maria Ștefania Manea and Mihaela Ștefan will remain majority shareholders and continue to lead the institution. Equilibrum Educațional, established in 2022, offers various educational programs and plans to expand its network in Bucharest, focusing on small class sizes and a comprehensive educational journey from nursery to gymnasium. The partnership with Klett will enhance teacher training and access to educational resources.
