Operators of electric scooters in Bucharest will pay a daily fee of 0.75 lei per active scooter on public land, along with an annual authorization fee of 5,000 lei. The new regulation aims to establish a framework for the operation of rental services, requiring operators to report active scooters monthly and adhere to specific parking and safety rules. Violations may result in fines ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 lei, and repeated offenses could lead to suspension or revocation of authorization. The regulation is set to take effect 60 days after approval by the General Council of Bucharest.
