AUR deputy Dan Tănasă has been indicted for inciting violence and discrimination against foreign workers after a controversial social media post. The General Prosecutor's Office announced the completion of the investigation and the case has been forwarded to the High Court of Cassation and Justice. Tănasă's post, made on August 19, 2025, urged Romanians to refuse orders delivered by foreign workers, specifically targeting those from Asia and Africa. Prosecutors claim his statements incited hatred based on race, nationality, ethnicity, and religion. The indictment has been sent to the competent court for further proceedings.
