The University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Iuliu Hațieganu" in Cluj-Napoca is collaborating with six European universities to develop a new master's program in neurotechnology, set to launch in the 2027-2028 academic year. This program will focus on brain-computer interfaces, devices used in neurological research, and applications in medicine for diagnosing and treating neurological conditions. The master's will last two years, taught in English, and will require international mobility for students. It aims to enhance Romania's presence in neurotechnology education and research, reflecting a trend towards interdisciplinary collaboration in medicine. The program is part of the NeurotechEU initiative, which has received significant European funding.
