The National Meteorological Administration issued a weather alert for moderate rainfall and wind intensification across Romania until Friday evening. Rain is expected nationwide, particularly in the eastern half on Friday, with possible thunderstorms and hail. Rainfall amounts could reach 10-20 liters per square meter, especially in certain mountainous regions. Wind gusts may reach 40-50 km/h, exceeding 70 km/h in mountainous areas. In Bucharest, temperatures will be above average on Thursday, with rain expected and a maximum temperature around 19 degrees. Friday will see cooler temperatures and more rain, with maximums of 14-16 degrees.
