The Timișoara City Hall is advancing plans for a new Municipal Hospital, estimated to cost over 141 million euros, through a public-private partnership. Local officials have engaged with national and international institutions to clarify legislative frameworks and prepare for the project's next steps. Timișoara is the first local administration in Romania to reach this stage in developing a public-private partnership project. The new hospital will feature 300 beds and centralize various medical services currently spread across 14 buildings. It aims to enhance healthcare access and efficiency, with modern facilities including an emergency unit and surgical block. The project is expected to attract investors and set a precedent for future infrastructure developments.
