Progress on the A8 highway is slower than on the DN road near Podu Iloaiei. The only ongoing construction site in Iași County is near Pașcani, where the A7 contractor is working on segments of the Unirii Highway. The bridge over the Prut, expected to be completed by Monday, is still far from finished. Discussions with the director of the National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration indicate that work on A8 may not continue until the national budget for 2027 is adopted. However, four lots are expected to advance: Târgu Mureș – Miercurea Nirajului will finish next year, Miercurea Nirajului – Sărățeni will receive construction authorization post-budget rectification, and Pipirig – Leghin will start once budget issues are resolved. UMB has resumed work on Leghin-Moțca, but this section will not be completed next year either.
