The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) apprehended a Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) agent who planned a missile attack on a drone repair battalion. The mobilized soldier provided intelligence on his unit's positions to Russian operatives. Before the attack, he intended to leave his military unit under the guise of a hospital visit. SSU counterintelligence captured him in a military vehicle after he exited the unit. The agent had been recruited by FSB agents prior to his mobilization, using a relative in Russia to establish contact. He worked as an electrician while gathering information on his unit's locations. During a search, investigators seized five smartphones used for encrypted communication with Russian officers.
