Armenia şi-ar putea trimite în curând cererea de aderare la UE, afirmă premierul Paşinian - Economica.net
Armenia, under Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, is considering applying for EU membership, distancing itself from Russia amid rising tensions. Moscow opposes this move, insisting on a referendum first. Pashinyan argues that a candidacy for EU membership is necessary to assess the feasibility of such a referendum. The shift towards Europe has strained Armenia's relations with Russia, which has imposed sanctions, including a ban on Armenian agricultural imports. Armenia has also suspended its participation in a regional security pact with Russia, with Pashinyan expressing a desire for a complete withdrawal from it.
