The U.S. Army is set to purchase Ukrainian Raybird drones for $10.64 million, indicating strong interest in Ukrainian military technology. The contract, awarded to Skyeton Inc., involves delivering reconnaissance drones to Redstone Arsenal by December 2026. Raybird drones, operational since 2018, have been extensively used in combat, accumulating over 350,000 flight hours. They can fly for up to 24 hours, cover 2,500 kilometers, and transmit real-time data over 200 kilometers. Ukraine's drone industry continues to grow, with around 450 manufacturers contributing to its defense sector.
