USNORTHCOM reported that these drones were involved in illicit activities and were targeted with the AMHEL system. Over 300 drones have been downed this year, with 100 in August alone. The Pentagon did not disclose the exact locations of the downed drones. Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum warned that any unilateral U.S. action on Mexican territory would violate the country's sovereignty.
