Armata modifică softurile sistemelor anti-dronă / Miruță: ”Unele echipamente nu comunică între ele”
The Romanian Army is enhancing its military systems by integrating software from different manufacturers to improve drone detection and interception capabilities. Minister Radu Miruță stated that existing equipment is being modified to allow better communication between devices. This initiative aims to create connections between sensors and radars that were not originally designed to work together. The adaptations have already led to improved responses to drone incursions in Romanian airspace. New equipment is expected to arrive by summer 2027, including low-altitude target detection radars and ground-based drone interception systems. Recent drone activity near Romania is linked to intensified attacks in Ukraine, but there are no current indications of increased risk for Romania.
