Approximately 10,000 reservists from Bucharest and Ilfov will be called to military units starting October 5, 2026, for the mobilization exercise "MOBEX Bucharest - Ilfov 26". The exercise aims to assess the population's readiness for defense without declaring a state of mobilization. Reservists will receive orders to report to designated units for a single day, where they will undergo reception procedures, security briefings, and may participate in specific training activities. Employers are required to grant an additional paid leave day for participating reservists, and failure to comply with the call may result in penalties.
