Arheologii din Alba-Iulia au reluat cercetările în zona în care s-au descoperit ruinele porţii prin care a intrat Mihai Viteazul

Archaeologists in Alba Iulia have resumed systematic research in an area where significant historical structures were previously identified. The focus is on documenting a key access point in the city's fortifications, which includes three gates from different eras. Recent findings include the medieval tower's underground level and the eastern gate of the XIII Gemina Legion's castrum. These discoveries are crucial for understanding the historical significance of the site, particularly related to Mihai Viteazul's entry into the city in 1599. The ongoing research aims to preserve and enhance the archaeological remains for future tourism.
