Arheologii cred că au descoperit cel mai vechi naufragiu din lume: o navă de acum 4.700 de ani, găsită în largul Turciei
Archaeologists in Turkey have potentially uncovered the world's oldest shipwreck, dating back approximately 4,700 years. The ancient cargo ship, found off the coast of Kekova, was transporting ceramic containers when it sank. Despite the degradation of the wooden structure, the remaining artifacts, including three stone anchors and around 30 amphorae, provide insights into early maritime civilizations. Initial discoveries were made in 2022, but recent research revealed their true age. Experts believe the ship was involved in trade across the eastern Mediterranean, possibly carrying goods from the Jordan Valley. The artifacts will be displayed in a new underwater archaeology museum in Antalya.
