At just 15 years old, Carolina-Andreea Pungă won a silver medal in the U18 European Championships in Rieti, setting a personal best of 23.58 seconds in the 200 meters. She finished just behind Spain's Mariona Armero, who set a new U18 record for Spain. Pungă also placed fifth in the 100 meters final, showcasing her talent at a young age. This achievement marks Romania's first medal in the sprint events at the U18 European Championships.
