Four men aged 22 to 43 were arrested for stealing drug packages from a microbus transporting goods from the Netherlands to Romania. The police discovered approximately 8.5 kilograms of drugs, including 2.4 kilograms of cocaine and over 6.1 kilograms of heroin, in the stolen packages. The investigation began after the driver reported being assaulted and robbed in Avram Iancu. Following police efforts, the suspects were identified and apprehended in Timiș County, where the stolen packages were found. The case has been taken over by the Organized Crime Brigade and DIICOT prosecutors, with the suspects facing charges of aggravated robbery and drug trafficking. They were remanded in custody for 30 days.
