The wildfire in Băile Olănești, Vâlcea, has expanded to approximately 16 hectares, prompting firefighters to resume efforts to contain it. The fire, which started near Mănăstirea Iezer, was initially estimated at 13 hectares. Difficult terrain has complicated firefighting efforts, which were paused overnight but resumed early Saturday morning. Currently, there is no wind in the area, aiding the intervention. Similar vegetation fires have affected hundreds of hectares in the southwest of the country recently, with incidents reported in Mehedinți and Caraș-Severin.
