Arafat a fost pus sub acuzare de procurorii Parchetului Militar în dosarul elicopterului SMURD

Raed Arafat, head of the Emergency Situations Department, is now a defendant in the SMURD helicopter procurement case following recent hearings at the Military Prosecutor's Office. He was placed under criminal investigation in April 2026 for alleged complicity in smuggling related to the helicopter acquisition. In July, prosecutors also imposed a seizure on Arafat's assets as part of the investigation. Meanwhile, Ilie Bolojan and Simina Tănăsescu missed hearings in the Constitutional Committee, and the investigation into a secret meeting involving Bolojan and the head of the Constitutional Court is progressing, with video evidence required for submission.
