Arabia Saudită, ofensivă majoră pentru a elibera ruta petrolului prin Marea Roșie. Cine participă • Newsweek România

Saudi Arabia is preparing a major military offensive against Houthi forces in Yemen to regain control of the Red Sea oil route. The operation aims to counter recent Houthi advances and secure the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, a crucial maritime passage. Yemeni troops will lead the ground operations with Saudi air support and U.S. intelligence. The offensive may involve concentrated assaults in coastal areas or simultaneous attacks in multiple provinces. The timing of the operation remains uncertain, with estimates ranging from a week to after the U.S. midterm elections. Pakistan and Turkey are providing military support, while the U.S. offers intelligence without direct combat involvement.
