Around 200 supporters of Călin Georgescu gathered outside the Central Arrest in Bucharest, demanding his release after a court decision to change his preventive arrest to house arrest. The protesters set up tents and chanted slogans in support of Georgescu, who remains incarcerated until the court's decision is finalized. The Bucharest Tribunal approved the request for house arrest for 30 days, but the measure will only take effect if the ruling is upheld, leaving Georgescu still in custody. Prosecutors have 48 hours to appeal the decision, preventing his immediate release.
