He is under investigation for forming a criminal group that defrauded a businessman of 1.1 million euros. Despite police fines, protests continued, with around 1,000 participants on Saturday. The police reported 50 fines totaling 51,800 lei for violations during the demonstrations, which began on September 29. Georgescu faces additional charges related to a coup attempt and Nazi propaganda.
