The National Meteorological Administration has issued heat wave warnings, with temperatures reaching up to 40 degrees Celsius in various regions. A yellow and orange alert for extreme heat and discomfort is in effect, particularly in Moldova, Maramureș, Transylvania, and Muntenia. Nights will be tropical, with minimum temperatures between 20 and 26 degrees. The heat wave will intensify, affecting most of the country, with the highest temperatures expected in the west and southwest. The alerts will remain in place through the weekend, with significant discomfort expected due to high humidity levels.
